Clicking on the name of a location from the Branch list will open the Branch Details page from which you may add and edit location-specific information such as address, contact information and configuration parameters for third-party integrations (such as POS and/or ERP systems).


Branch name, short name and code

At the very top of the page you are provided with a section to enter the main branch identifying information, specifically:

  • Name: this is the full name of the restaurant branch as it should appear in customer-facing communications. For example: “Bob’s Burgers - King Street”.

  • Short name: the short name is a truncated version of the branch name that will be used in the Foodkit platform to differentiate the branch from other locations. For example: “King Street”.

  • Code: the code is a 3-character alphanumeric unique identifier for the branch, for example: “B01”. The code can only be set on branch creation and cannot be changed. The code will appear in the reference number of all orders created in the Foodkit platform (e.g: B01-200100001).

Note that all content on this page is Internationalizable. This means you may enter variations of the content for each different language enabled for your restaurant. You can change the current language variation by clicking the language name at the top of the page.


Other info

Underneath the main branch information are three additional panels:

  • Contact information: this is the phone number and email address of the branch. Note that these are customer-facing: the customer will receive this information upon ordering from the branch. The Foodkit platform will also send an order summary and tax invoice to the branch email address for every order placed for the branch.

  • Address information: this is the full street address for the restaurant branch. This is customer-facing, and will also be sent to third-party logistics providers (if connected) so delivery drivers/riders can find the branch.

  • Geolocation (latitude, longitude): the precise map location of the restaurant branch. This is shown to the customer when ordering pickup and is also sent to third-party logistics providers (if connected) to help drivers/riders locate the restaurant.
